Update: January 27, 2022, 1:00 p.m.
Dear Commuter Student,
Buffalo State College is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our campus community amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please review the following COVID-19 safety protocols and mandatory arrival testing that all commuter students with an on-campus presence must follow when you arrive to campus for the spring 2022 semester. These safety protocols are in place to protect your health and safety, and the health and safety of our entire campus community.
Failure to comply with the following crucial health and safety policies will result in a referral to Student Conduct and Community Standards and could impact your ability to access in-person operations or to maintain enrollment in your courses at Buffalo State College.
COVID-19 Safety and Arrival Testing Requirements for Commuter Students
The spring semester begins on Monday, January 31. All commuter students with an on-campus presence for the spring semester are required to adhere to the following COVID-19 safety protocols and complete mandatory arrival testing during the first week of your arrival to campus by Wednesday, February 2.
Complete Mandatory COVID-19 Arrival Testing
During the first week of your arrival to campus, you are required to complete your mandatory COVID-19 arrival test, regardless of vaccination status, by Wednesday, February 2.
Follow COVID-19 Safety Protocols
COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster Policy
For the spring 2022 semester, the COVID-19 vaccine mandate will remain a requirement for all students regularly accessing Buffalo State campus facilities, as well as a new requirement that all students receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine within seven days of becoming eligible. Read more about completing your COVID-19 booster requirement for the spring semester.
Face Masks Required Indoors
All students, faculty, staff, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear face masks while indoors on campus unless actively eating or drinking. Wearing properly fitting face masks are some of the best protections we have against the spread of COVID-19, and it is critically important that we adhere to this protocol for everyone’s safety.
Additional Coronavirus Information
More information about Buffalo State’s COVID-19 safety protocols for the spring can be found on the For Students section of the college’s Coronavirus Information website. Continue to frequently monitor your campus email for updates and important information about returning to campus. You can also learn more about COVID-19 on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website.
Let’s all do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Stay well Bengals.
