In an effort to reduce density and limit the number of people on campus to slow the spread of the virus, SUNY has provided new guidance regarding on-campus housing options.
If you currently remain in the residence halls, we ask that you reconsider and urge remaining residents to make a socially responsible decision to limit density and, if feasible, return home.
In response to SUNY guidelines and recommendations on social distancing protocol, Buffalo State Dining has switched to a delivery-model service:
Lunch deliveries: 11:00 a.m.–noon in residence hall lobbies
Dinner deliveries: 4:00–5:00 p.m. in residence hall lobbies
How to Order Meals
Buffalo State Dining will release a daily Dining Order Form for students to complete for the following day. In order to receive meals for the next day, you must fill out the form and submit by 6:00 p.m. the day prior.

Buffalo State College is taking established social distancing guidelines seriously. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a new advisory urging all Americans to avoid gatherings of 10 or more individuals. Students, faculty, and staff members are encouraged to explore virtual options for any meetings or events.

In conjunction with the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), Buffalo State Athletics has canceled its spring seasons, effective immediately.
We understand that employment is critical to students’ well-being.
Student employees, including student assistants, work-study students, and graduate assistants, may volunteer to continue working during the shift to remote instruction and are eligible to work remotely.
Student employees can be given alternate assignments during their normal work schedule and should consult with their supervisors for guidance regarding any modifications to regular duties.

Supervisors should consult with their respective vice president for guidance on whether GSEU employees and student assistant employees (those who work in the dorms, RA’s) will be designated as essential or non-essential and the student employee should volunteer to continue working.
